    Definition
: Whole-brain teaching is an instructional approach derived from neuro-linguistic descriptions of the functions of the brain's left and right hemispheres. Whole-brain learning emphasizes active learning, in which the learner makes connections that tap both hemispheres.
In whole-brain learning, imaging is seen as the basis for comprehension. For this reason, learners are encouraged to visualize, draw, and use drama as they develop new ideas, in order to retain them.

    Right Brain vs. Left Brain

Definition: This theory of the structure and functions of the mind suggests that the two different sides of the brain control two different "modes" of thinking. It also suggests that each of us prefers one mode to the other.
Have you noticed that you find some subjects easy and enjoyable to learn?
Have you noticed that some students are avid, effective learners - while others can't seem to get with various subjects?
Have you noticed that in everyday life, you relate to some people smoothly, while with others the process of interaction seems gnarly?
Or that some tasks at work, or in your personal life, give you pleasure and satisfaction, while others are boring, irritating, and difficult?
